Kalamazoo, MI- Winning their first playoff series since the 2006-07 season, the Kalamazoo Wings defeated the Florida Everblades 5-3 in game four of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals to win the series three game to one.

Earning his first point of the season the night before on the K-Wings game-winner, defenseman Corey Syvret notched his first-ever pro goal with a blue-line slap shot midway through the first period.

Pulling even in the final minute of the period, Dusty Collins tipped in a cross rink pass from Alexandre Imbeault over a sprawled out Ryan Nie.

Early in the second period, the K-Wings thought they had regained the lead when Justin Taylor lit the lamp; however, the goal would be disallowed, as Taylor kicked the puck across the goal line.

In game three, the K-Wings started the second period scoring two goals one minute apart from one another, in game four, Kalamazoo waited until the middle to duplicate the feat.

Avenging his disallowed tally, Taylor put the K-Wings ahead 2-1 earning his second goal of the playoffs on a redirected marker.

Forty-three seconds was all that elapsed before Kalamazoo found the back of the net again. Aaron Clarke got his first postseason goal, and became the sixteenth skater of sixteen to tally a point for the K-Wings during this first round matchup with the Everblades. Grabbing an assist on the goal was Trent Daavettila, who extended his playoff point streak to four games.
