40 Teams Set to Compete at Wings Stadium This Weekend

Kalamazoo, MI- Wings Stadium, which is also home to The Annex and The Cube, announces the complex will host the Annual USA Hockey Adult Classic this weekend, staring on Friday, May 14th.

The three-day tournament will feature a field of 40 teams from across the Midwest. The 40-team field marks the largest tournament ever to be held exclusively at Wings Stadium.

“We are delighted with the registration for the tournament and are expecting to see some competitive hockey,” said Ray Kraemer, vice president Michigan Amateur Hockey Association. “Wings Stadium is the perfect venue to host this event and we are pleased to continue our partnership with them.”

Featuring multiple divisions, the USA Hockey Adult Classic will start on Friday and will end on Sunday, May 16th after the completion of each division’s championship game.

Stadium Management Company owns both the Wings Stadium Complex and the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team. The Wings Stadium Complex is comprised of three buildings; Wings Stadium seats more than 5,100 fans for K-Wings home games and more than 8,000 people for concerts and other stage events. The Annex seats 1,367 for ice events and can seat up to 2,850 for non-ice events such as car, boat, and trade shows. The Cube is the newest of the three facilities, that plays host to both ice and non-ice events. All three buildings are available for rental and feature numerous catering and meeting opportunities.
