Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce that Wade Welsh has decided to resign as vice president/general manager of the Kalamazoo Wings to pursue interest outside of hockey.

Welsh started with the K-Wings six years ago, as the organization’s assistant general manager and was promoted in June 2007 to general manager.

In his tenure with the K-Wings, Welsh has helped the K-Wings flourish. Last season, under Welsh’s tutelage, the K-Wings enjoyed their best season off the ice in their 36-year history.

A search has already begun for the organization’s next general manager.
