Game Preview

The Kalamazoo Wings will have to step up or step aside tonight as they travel to the Sovereign Center for game four of the best-of-five American Conference Quarterfinals. Kalamazoo dropped game three on Friday by the score of 5-2 and trails the series two games to one.

A slow start in the first period of game three put the K-Wings in a hole they couldn’t dig out of. Down 2-1 in the series, the K-Wings will now have to win two straight contests, which is something they have done 24 times this season, which includes the last game of the regular season and the first game of the playoffs

A similar recipe led to Reading’s success in game three. Ryan Cruthers added to his playoff total by scoring a goal, which gives him eight points in the playoffs. Stefano Giliati, who recorded a Royals season-high seven points against the K-Wings in the regular season, also added two goals in the win.
