McGinnis Returns

Defenseman Ryan McGinnis will return to the K-Wings lineup this evening. McGinnis, who has played in 49 games with Kalamazoo and led all defensemen on the team in scoring with 33 points in the regular season, has been on loan to the AHL’s Manitoba Moose since March 25th.

Familiar Finish

In their first ever ECHL home playoff game last night, Mathieu Curadeau scored the game-winner 2:08 into overtime. Curadeau also recorded the game-winner 2:05 into overtime during the K-Wings first ECHL regular season home game, a 3-2 overtime victory over the Royals on October 24th.

Working Overtime

It should come to no surprise that the K-Wings went into overtime in game one. During the regular season, the K-Wings played in 20 overtime/shootout contests, only the Florida Everblades with 21 OT/SO games played more in the ECHL.

Right at Home

Forward Dean Strong has definitely felt at home at Wings Stadium. Including the playoffs, Strong has earned points in all 17 games (11 goals, 14 assists) he has played on Vanrick Drive.
