Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce signing goaltender Jeremy Duchesne has been called-up to the Philadelphia Flyers.
In 19 appearances with the K-Wings, Duchesne has earned a record of 9-4-3-2 and has a goals against average of 3.20 and a save percentage of 0.909.
Duchesne was recently called-up to the American Hockey League’s Adirondack Phantoms. In two games with the Phantoms, Duchesne has posted a GAA of 0.51 and a save percentage of 0.981.
While the K-Wings have had 24 players sent up to the AHL this season, Duchesne becomes the first ECHL K-Wings player and the first K-Wing player since the 1999-00 season to start the season in Kalamazoo and dress in the NHL in the same season.
The native of Silver Springs, Maryland will be in uniform for the Flyers tomorrow night, when they face-off against the Dallas Stars at the American Airlines Center.
The K-Wings will return to Wings Stadium tonight, March 17th with a 7 p.m. encounter versus the Wheeling Nailers during the 29th Annual “World Famous” St. Patrick’s Day Green Ice Game, presented by Fifth-Third Bank and WWMT.
