Game Preview

For the second time this week, the Kalamazoo Wings will travel to the Sovereign Center to face-off against the Reading Royals. This afternoon is the final meeting of the regular season between the teams. On the season, the K-Wings are 5-0-0-0 against the Royals.

Entering the middle part of a seven-game road swing, the K-Wings have won all three games on the trip thus far. Kalamazoo enters the Sovereign Center on a season-high nine-game unbeaten streak (8-0-0-1), as well as a season-high seven game winning streak.

Concluding a three-game home stand, today is a huge contest for the Royals. Reading is in second place in the East Division, and they currently hold a two-point advantage for eighth in the American Conference over Gwinnett and Wheeling and lead Trenton by three points.

Lloyd Nears Milestone

Forward Darryl Lloyd is closing in a on a personal milestone. Lloyd needs two more points to reach 200 in his career.

Kalamazoo is playing the fourth of six straight games against teams from the East Division. On the season, the K-Wings are 12-1-0-0 versus teams from the east.

Forward Patrick Asselin enters today on a three-game point streak. Asselin, who has earned points in four of his last five games, has racked up six points (1 goal, 5 assists) during his current three-game streak.
