Game Preview

For the first time since March 28, 2007, the Kalamazoo Wings will tangle with the Elmira Jackals. Once combatants in the United Hockey League; tonight will be their first of three clashes in the month of March between the teams.

Tying a season-high six-game winning streak with a 6-3 victory on Thursday, the K-Wings enter the First Arena also hoping to extend a season-high eight-game (7-0-0-1) unbeaten streak. With 73 points, Kalamazoo is in second place in the North Division and in fourth place overall in the American Conference.

With a record of 8-2-0-0 in their last 10 games, Elmira has created plenty of breathing room in the East Division. The Jackals lead the east by nine points over the Reading Royals and are currently positioned in third in the American Conference.

Lloyd Nears Milestone

Forward Darryl Lloyd is closing in a on a personal milestone. Lloyd needs two more points to reach 200 in his career.

Forward Brian McGuirk and defenseman Will Colbert each enter tonight looking to extend point streak. McGuirk, who is on a four-game point streak (3 goals, 3 assists), has earned points (5 goals, 7 assists) in eight out of his last nine contests, while Colbert has registered points in three straight games (1 goal, 3 assists)

Dishing Out the Puck

Kalamazoo’s Mathieu Curadeau dished out four assists in the K-Wings 6-3 victory on Thursday over Reading. The four-assist effort is the most this season by any member of the K-Wings.

Red Hot

The K-Wings enters the night on a season-high eight-game (7-0-0-1) unbeaten streak. Kalamazoo has also won six straight contests, which ties a season-high.
