Game Preview

First place in the North Division will be up for grabs tonight, as the Kalamazoo Wings tangle with the Cincinnati Cyclones. On the season, Kalamazoo is 2-4-1-0 against Cincinnati and 0-4-1-0 in their last five meetings.

Starting a four-game road swing this evening, the K-Wings are riding high winning five straight games. Kalamazoo has also found success on the road, winning their last three contests away from Wings Stadium. With 46 points, the K-Wings are in first place and lead the Cyclones by one point in North Division.

Not seizing the opportunity of moving into first place last night, the Cyclones lost 5-3 to the Wheeling Nailers at the U.S. Bank Arena. Including this evening, Cincinnati has played 37 games this season, two more than Kalamazoo.

On the Road Again

Kalamazoo starts the week on a four-game road swing. The K-Wings, who are 9-3-2-0 away from Wings Stadium, are riding a three-game road winning streak (12/05/09-present).   

 

Playing Until the Final Horn

Kalamazoo has won their last two road contests with their final shot of the game. The K-Wings defeated the Toledo Walleye back on January 1st with a goal from Jeff Mason with 3.7 seconds remaining and on January 6th; Rick Cleaver recorded the game-winner in overtime against the Johnstown Chiefs.
