WINGS STADIUM TO HOST HOLIDAY INN ALUMNI CLASSIC THIS SEPTEMBER

Three-Day Tournament Runs September 18th-20th

Kalamazoo, MI- Wings Stadium, which is also home to The Annex and The Cube, announces the Inaugural Holiday Inn Alumni Classic will be held at the complex Friday, September 18th-Sunday, September 20th.

This tournament is for current members of USA hockey. All players that are not current members of USA hockey for the 2009-10 season must become members by the start of the tournament (online application to become a member at usahockey.com).  

Registration is $220 for each player, which includes accommodations at the Holiday Inn West, located on South 11th Street in Kalamazoo.

All players must be 21 years of age or older by the start of the tournament. Each team will be guaranteed three games during round robin play and prizes will be awarded to championship teams in each division.

The game schedule will be posted on the Wings Stadium website at
www.wingsstadium.com/hockey.htm#adult, and will be e-mailed to the team contacts no later than one week prior to the event.

Entry deadline is Friday September 4, 2009. However, any division(s) could close earlier based on ice time availability and number of teams entered overall.

Stadium Management Company owns both the Wings Stadium Complex and the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team. The Wings Stadium Complex is comprised of three buildings; Wings Stadium seats more than 5,100 fans for K-Wings home games and more than 8,000 people for concerts and other stage events. The Annex seats 1,367 for ice events and can seat up to 2,850 for non-ice events such as car, boat, and trade shows. The Cube is the newest of the three facilities, that plays host to both ice and non-ice events. All three buildings are available for rental and feature numerous catering and meeting opportunities.
