Game Preview

Heading to the east side of the state to battle the Port Huron Icehawks, tonight is the final road test in the regular season for the Kalamazoo Wings. On the season, the K-Wings are 5-5-3-0 versus the Icehawks and are 4-3-1-0 against Port Huron at McMorran Place Arena.

With two nights left in the regular season, Kalamazoo trails Muskegon by two points for the final playoff spot in the IHL. Kalamazoo knows to get into the playoffs they must grab at least three points in the next two nights against Port Huron and still receive help from Bloomington, who finishes the year against Muskegon.

Already clinching a playoff berth, Port Huron still needs two points to solidify home ice advantage in the first round of the Turner Cup playoffs. Gaining momentum at the end of the season, Port Huron has not lost in regulation to any team other than Fort Wayne since February 23rd at Flint.
