Game Preview

In what could just be the most important game of the season for the Kalamazoo Wings they will finish off a two-game home stand versus the Port Huron Icehawks. On the season, the K-Wings are 5-5-2-0 versus the Icehawks and are 1-2-2-0 versus Port Huron at Wings Stadium.

With five games remaining in the regular season, the K-Wings backs are against the playoff door. Trailing Muskegon by three points for fourth, Kalamazoo knows to get into the playoffs they must defeat Port Huron. Including tonight, the two teams will meet three times over the course of the next seven days.

Helping Kalamazoo last night by defeating Muskegon 5-3, Port Huron also helped themselves. The win clinched a playoff birth for the first-year franchise. Currently in second, the Icehawks now have their sights on home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
