Game Preview

While the Kalamazoo Wings will clash with the Flint Generals on two more occasions after tonight, this evening will be the last encounter in the regular season at the Perani Hockey World & Event Center. On the season, the K-Wings are 8-4-0-0 against the Generals.

To say this game has major playoff implications would be an understatement. With 11 games remaining in the regular season, including tonight, Kalamazoo trails Flint by a single point for fourth place in the IHL. The K-Wings, who are on a four-game road winless streak, last won on the road February 29th in Flint (8-5).

At one time the Generals had a solid hold on second place in the IHL; however, suffering losses in 10 of their last 11 games, Flint is currently on a four-game winless streak. Besides leading the K-Wings by a single point for fourth, the Generals are a point behind the Muskegon Fury for third.
