Game Preview

For just the third time in their rivalry’s 278 game history, the Kalamazoo Wings will battle the Fort Wayne Komets during the annual Fifth-Third Bank “World Famous” St. Patrick’s Day Green Ice Game. Kalamazoo is 1-1-0-0 versus Fort Wayne on green ice.

Winless in two straight games, Kalamazoo hopes that returning back to Wings Stadium will get them back to their winning ways. The K-Wings, who have won four straight on home ice, enter the game two points behind the Muskegon Fury for fourth place in the league.

Capturing the Huber Trophy on Saturday, the Fort Wayne Komets have guaranteed themselves the regular season title and home-ice advantage throughout the Turner Cup playoffs. Komets are streaking, entering Wings Stadium on an IHL season-high 10-game winning streak.
