Game Preview

With just two regular season encounters between the intra-state rivals remaining, including tonight’s meeting, this match-up is very important for playoff position. On the season, the K-Wings are 6-6-0-2 versus the Fury and are one point ahead of Muskegon for the final playoff spot in the IHL.

With 14 games remaining in the K-Wings regular season, Kalamazoo is not only in position for a playoff spot, but have the opportunity for home ice advantage in round one. Kalamazoo trails Flint and Port Huron by just two points for second place in the league.

In fifth place currently, Muskegon also has their sights on home ice advantage. Besides being one point behind Kalamazoo, Muskegon is three points behind Flint and Port Huron. The Fury have two games in hand over the K-Wings and will face-off one more time against Kalamazoo in Muskegon on March 30th.
