Game Preview

For the second time this season, the Kalamazoo Wings will welcome the Flint Generals and schools from across southwest Michigan to Education Day presented by Culver’s. Kalamazoo lost to Flint 5-3 in their first morning tilt on February 27th; however, on the season, the K-Wings are 7-4-0-0 against the Generals.

Playing in the lone game in the IHL, Kalamazoo has the opportunity to move past the idle Muskegon Fury and into sole possession of the fourth and final playoff spot. The K-Wings are also three points behind the Port Huron Icehawks, who are in third and trail the Generals by five points for second.

Flint snapped a six-game losing streak on Sunday with a 7-4 thrashing of Muskegon, which moved the Generals into second place. Getting used to life on the road, today is the second of five straight road games for the Generals, who are 13-11-1-3 this season away from the Perani Hockey World & Event Center.
