Game Preview

Intra-state rivals will meet this evening, as the Kalamazoo Wings travel to Port Huron to battle the Icehawks. Kalamazoo snapped a six-game losing streak against Port Huron in their last encounter on February 7th and on the season the K-Wings are 4-4-2-0 versus the Icehawks.

With two games in hand, tonight is a huge game for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo enters McMorran Place Arena trailing Port Huron by six points for second place in the IHL. This evening also concludes a two-game road swing for the K-Wings which started last night a 2-0 loss to the Fort Wayne Komets.

A loss last night to Flint moved the Icehawks into a tie with the Generals for second place in the league. With 52 games, Port Huron has played in more games than any team in the IHL. Three games below 500, the Icehawks have struggled at home and have lost two of their last three at McMorran Place.
