Congrats to the IceHawks for getting in the playoffs and taking the Komets all the way to game 7 and then into extra overtimes. You guys played hard.

Congrats to the Komets for winning the Turner Cup. I knew you would do it. It just took a little longer than I had anticipated. 8-)

Wow, Wings fans come on here and SOME can't even congrats the Komets on winning the Cup. They go straight to the calls that should have been made and how the Komets basically "cheated." It was AMAZING for the Komets to work back after being down 3-1 in the series. It was definitely a kick in the gut that they took game 1 from the Komets in Fort Wayne. And then suddenly going up 2-0, but I had faith in my Komets after seeing multiple times them working back in games after being down 2 goals, 3 goals and heck, even 4 goals. The Hawks gave everything they had but the Komets worked a little bit harder and proved why they are 2008 Turner Cup Champions!!!

But thank you for the kind Wings fans that did congrats the Komets on winning the Cup. The ones who actually mean it. :)

Why would a Wing fan congratulate an anathema franchise? Kind of defeats the purpose of rivalry doesn't it? BTW how did the Vomets win the IHL by like 900 pts, but then got lucky in the finals... Because thats what this is, triple overtime of game 7... The Hawks blew it, Ft Wayne didn't win it.

Wow, talk about sour grapes here.

Let's see and I'll say it again, the Komets down right owned every other team over the summer last year. The Wings didn't go out and recuite like they should have. Number one, Curran wasn't the best choice and if you would have gotten someone like Puhalski, your year would have definitely been different. The Komets weren't plagued with injuries as bad as the other teams. That is something you can't help and I'm very fortunate we didn't have it happen. But because the Komets had a successful season, they are a anathema franchise? C'mon now, let's be real here. God I should start calling the Florida Marlins a "anathema franchise" now.

The Komets worked hard to be Turner Cup Champions. Both teams were evenly matched, even though the Komets were ahead 32 points of them. The Hawks are a great team, no doubt about that. But you can't say, "The Komets didn't win, the Hawks just blew it."

Yes, the Koments were great this year but we will see how it turns out next year...it might bite you back in the ass. Just a heads up. Unfortanatly the Koments won it (which was well deserved) in a couple OT's but I think the Icehawks played great this year. They deserved it too. Congrats to the ICEHAWKS! Can't wait for a new, next season!

Btw, never really liked Sterling from his actions that have taken place not just to our players and our fans but to every single team. Kinda sad.

Uhhh you sound like a politician no offense. You complain about what sterling did, ok what has he done? He turned around after the team won a game and saluted the fans that heckled him all game. The same fans giving him the bird and giving obscene guestures to him. Ya players shouldnt give those guestures, but let me fill you in on something. Y do i call you a politician?

Tim Knudsen was a K-wing goalie who made some guestures to the fans in QC on church day of all days, got caught on the Jumbotron there. His guestures were far worse than what Sterling has done in this league. If Knudsen was half the goalie Sterling is, the wings might not have been so bad in the 01-02 years.

Sterling is a great goalie, and i dont see what he has done that has so many Kalamazoo fans so upset. If he was a wings goalie and he did that to fort waynes fans or Muskegons fans he would be a saint. I dont mind what he has done, yeah i heckle him, but crowd interaction fuels rivalries. I like having players i love to hate... for some reason i dont hate sterling, i think its always fun when he comes to town, its all competitive fun between the fans and him. Just some fans cant take it. You all got upset when he taunted Curran that one game, yet 90% of the people on here call for Currans head.

I will never get some of you on here....

First of all, I think politics are a joke. :D

Okay...maybe i don't know how bad guestures or actions can be. I wouldn't have posted it if you misunderstood me. I am stating my opinion and you disagreed with my opinion. I don't really care about that. That is understandable.

All i am saying is Sterling can get a little to unclassy at times. NO NOT ALL THE TIME. Well duh, some people are over estimating the actions to the fans. I don't really give for the fans. Maybe they should keep control of their actions if its possible. Of course they do the birdy and crap (which i am NEVER that rude) and i respect Sterling for reacting to that. Just some of the videos i see are not classy of Sterling. That's all. I wasn't JUST talking about the fans. Most of the time...fans deserve it.

Same with the players. I don't mind Sterling when he takes part in a fight or something if they have been talking crap all game. He is very good in goalie fights i have to addmit.

I guess I am thinking differently than you but at least we are communicating about our opinions. No, I'm not dissing your post at all. Just thought i would tell a little more about the sentence i wrote before.

Guess we got it all covered. I don't really care about their team, but I sure do hate their fans!

Dont be silly, there are plenty of good komet fans. I mean at least they get into the game I think its sad that section 1a 30,29,28a have to carry the brunt of the load as far as cheering at games. Half the stadium sets on its hands. I didnt for get brillo i just figured 3 people in 17or 16 was enough to include the whole section.

Don't forget sec. 24 there are a lot of sth ther that cheer a lot. We were there last season but we are relocating to sec 5 to spread it out a little. Also seems that groups end up in 24 and they are more intrested in geting up and walking around during critical parts of the game.
