I know they are playing in Wheeling and Toledo that weekend before coming here. Bakersfield must like coming east, they did it two seasons ago at Toledo and Cincy. With 23 teams, east and west teams are matching up several times. I don't know how they get certain teams to match up but I am happy we are seeing a Western Conference team here in the regular season. Gonna be marking my calendar.

Because they are in the ECHL and so is Kalamazoo.

During their first season in the league the K-Wings traveled to Alaska for the preseason. It is cool to get to see a team from the West but it does seem that the travel costs would be prohibitive.
