Didn't miss a game this year buddy, but thanks. I am not a homer. I just don't have the experience in the game to make stupid comments like you do.

yes......why does coach bootland not endorse physical play? ( it's not the 80's, however this is still a physical game) they play a physical team and wonder why they get pushed around? why does he continually choose the dump and chase game plan( scout someone besides svendson who can carry the puck over the blue line)? his Dline is always weak and slow ( big guys with no mobility or inclination to hit anyone) or ( small guys that are afraid to be hit).
under his tenure it has been BORING HOCKEY! he is losing alot of long time STH's with his decision's!

being a homer on this board I doubt you will ask any meaningful questions!

Yeah, it's getting real boring winning the division every year.

It kind of is getting boring winning the division every year. So we beat out 3 other teams. Big deal. They should have had the title wrapped up last week but they didn't.

I want wins at home. I want 60 minutes of hockey. Years ago, they won most of their home games and the stands were 3/4 full. Word gets out that the ticket prices are up, you have to pay for parking, and they haven't won at home in a while. Lets go to a movie instead.

Question.

Is the "come for the party stay for the game." going to stay the slogan?

I want people to have a good time. I want it to be a party. I would like to know the percentage of people that actually come to watch a hockey game. Or how many just come for the "party". How many games does the average fan come to each season? Can they name the coach, any player, or any other team in the league? I'm just curious how much the average fan knows about the game. When I watch the game, there seems to be fan participation at the right moments in a game. Such as during a penalty kill, they cheer when the puck is cleared or when a shot is missed by a little bit they moan. I think the average k-wings fan is there for the hockey, not for the party.

I would like to see a more hockey based slogan.

Why do the k-wings use the dump and chase when coming across the blue line? Why not teach them to fire at the goalie EVERY TIME? Several things could happen. One, you score a goal. Two the goalie catches it or directs it out of bounds, and there is a face off in your offensive zone with a line change if you want it. Or three there is a re-bound and you either get it and play it or the other team gets its.

The dump and chase results in only two out comes. One you get the puck or two, the other team gets the puck.

I AGREE! but there is a time for dump and chase... we just use it too much. Like on the power play, you have a MAN ADVANTAGE, why not use it to skate it over the blue line and keep possession of the puck.. And another thing on the power play, and skating 5 aside. shoot the puck!!! there aren't enough shot on net and hockey is developing to where you need to put a screen in front of the goalie and shoot. most goals aren't pretty dangles that leave defenders in the dust and goalies out of there skates. the wings could honestly score 5 a game if the shot the puck a bit more on the power play. it seems like they are trying to pass until that perfect shot for a goal is there and most of the time it's not there so we waste a man advantage. I still don't understand how our power play is still top five in the league.

No petty insults, just truth.

I realize your collegiate career, Minor Pro career and NHL career, coupled with your coaching and scouting experience gives you a great window of opprotunity to come here and explain why people who have dedicated their career to the game do not know as much as you. I respect that.

And topics are meant to read, which is what I did. I did not hear you ask the coach why he has not been let go yet. Did you ask? Or were you too scared?

You are right! I've been saying that for the last two years, SHOOT THE PUCK. They should have a man in front of the net at all times, i.e. rebounds - deflections and screens. I totally agree with you. Don't hesitate when you get the puck, SHOOT. They should try and not to look so fancy, that usually ends up with poor passes. Just shoot it.

well please let's here your vast hockey resume....I have an opinion just like anyone on this board. I really don't care if you agree with my opinion! I personally expect more than division wins. this team has many shortcomings IMO. you seem to have a problem with anyone who speaks out against the TEAM.
are you trying to get a job with the kwings? or did you linger after the game and meet a couple players and they spoke to you and your kids. and now you think they are your friends you have to protect?

do you actually have a question for the radio show?
