Ever since MOST k-wings fans met Martinson they know what kind of teams he has since the Rockford Ice Hogs. From his days with San Diego all the way to the present he has physical, sometimes dirty teams. A lot of what most people see as dirty such as the hit on Tolles is just good hard nosed hockey, not DIRTY! I know Johnson can be dirty, but also can be one of the most talented AA players in the game. The reason he cant make it farther is whats on his shoulders. Lutz can be dirty, ...Every hockey player can be dirty, get over it.

Why everytime a physical team comes to our barn and pushes us around do a lot of you get so up in arms? The wings refuse to carry some toughness unless assigned by another organization, so until then it will continue to happen. I didnt see anyone going after didiomette while he was pounding our guys head into the ice... So why would they stop playing like that if they can get away with it.

Oh im sure he learned his lesson since the wings will let the league take care of it. I bet hes back for the playoffs!

i highly doubt anyone who really knows the game gets upset when a team is tough. Being tough is not just measured in hits. A real fan knows this.
So do not get all high and mighty here. There is a difference between hard play and DIRTY and if the coach of the the team says their style of play was "gutless" I will take him at his word because we say some gutless plays by the Express. Sure, alot of their players can play a clean, hard fought game. Look what they did Saturday.

But Friday, they were classless. But you are right, that coach of the Express...you should know to expect some cheap, dirty play with the hard stuff. When they actually play with skill, they can be a decent team, as we saw. When they play dirty, like you want the K-Wings to be, they lose the game and respect.

I agree that Chicago played a great game Saturday and it was much less dirty. Friday though it was a complete joke for them. The Wings were up by 3 goals with less than 6 minutes left and Lutz decides to run Maxime (I'm sure with some intent to injure) when the game was pretty much decided. And then what DiDiomete did was completely tasteless and classless. And if that wasn't enough, was I the only one who saw Martinsen yelling at the fans behind their bench from irritation? That's just setting a terrible example for the players you coaching when your coach let's fans in the crowd get to him that easy and is just asking for some sort of goon hockey from his players.
