Well i sure hope to see a totally refurbed wings stadium, a new video scoreboard, new seats and all the perks that come with the price increases. they keep bragging how they keep increasing corporate sales and bringing in all the extra revenue.

they could barely get 2000 for the FINALS with those sky high prices, adding $5 for parking is sick. they are either finding an excuse to shut down hockey, or prepare those who still want to go for the high prices of being downtown.

I sure won't be asking people to come anymore unless they can ride with me. Charging to park on the very grounds you own, nice.

Season ticket holders park for free according to the Wing Stadium site.
Hopefully they will maintain the lot better now.

The ticket price increase is irritating enough, but charging for parking, now? We have a son who I will no longer be able to purchase a child's ticket for. So, between the increase in tickets, and the extra for purchasing an adult ticket for him, each home game will cost us an extra $10.00. Add to that the $5.00 parking fee and you've got $15.00 more per home game. Don't get me wrong, we're not going to stop being K-Wing fans and attending home games, but over the span of the entrie season, this is a huge amount of money. And what new or extra things are we going to be enjoying? It doesn't look like anything!

With the parking lot attendants collecting money and making change, you had better leave the house extra early unless you don't care about arriving after the opening faceoff. You can take it to the bank that there will be huge traffic jams to get in the parking lot, especially early on in the season. (No charge at Lawson for the Bronco games.)

Being on a fixed income, they are getting close to priceing us out of enjoying K Wings hockey. There are only so many dollars alowed for intertainment. We love hockey and the K Wings but I have to look at the costs involved. I can go to Battle Creek Revolution games for around 10 dollars a game, I only have to drive 18 miles opposed to almost 40 ( one way). No parking fees, cheeper tickets, less gas. Gee I could save enough to take in a few Griffons games or a few Red Wings games. Next thing you will read ? Put a dollar in your radio to listen to Mike broadcast tonights game!
They want more fans to come to the games. Their reasoning on ticket prices as well as parking fees is almost as sound as spending your way out off debt. It's just not going to happen.

Boy, am I glad I decided to buy season tickets at the end of last year! Not only did I miss the increase in ticket prices, but now I'll miss the parking fee as well.

I certainly hope that as a result of this new parking fee that they keep better care of the lots during the winter. There were a number of occasions last year where either I slipped or saw someone slip on the ice that typically accumulates in the lot. With this new revenue stream, I hope Wings Stadium staff can afford to put some salt down and make the lots safer to walk on.

Looks like this will be my last year as a STH. I will be attending far fewer games next season.
