Well it is 2-0 Fla in the second. This series is over now. They cannot score. Fla is a much better team. These are the facts that we must now face.

I think the majority would come to a conclusion that, yes, the Florida team is a much better team in the post season. Obviously the numbers game has come to their advantage, when you can have half of your team provided by your affiliates, with AHL playing time, its a major win win. Otherwise this series would have been a close one based on both Kalamazoo and Floridas regular season stats.

This is the one team that had me worried from the start of playoffs. They are clearly the better team. They are making the plays, scoring the goals etc. They are tough. I am still holding out hope as a fan of course, but if we lose, we can see why. Florida is playing some great hockey right now.
At the end of the day, I will still wake up tomorrow as a K-Wings fan.

Don't start with the excuses, this is something the WIngs have done all year is play like the team they are and that is very average. The defense is slow they don't hit and the fowards are lazy a lot of the time like Bootland. This isn't just one persons fault though this is the so called teams fault, it is pretty sad when you have a guy like Jon Harty who is all of 5'10 come in a play with more passion than pretty much every other player. Young and Harty are the only ones that get back in the Florida players face and don't just get pushed around. Young is from our affilate and if not for him you wouldn't see people actually knowing that someone has there back. Nick even said it in the paper that teams seem to play the Wings different when Young is in the line up, duh I wonder why and it seems like that would turn a switch in his head to get bigger stronger players that can still play the game and not 5 foot nothing guys that won't hit.

It is clear cut the team that wants it more in this series and it is Florida they hustle to every loose puck finish every check, hell they are even beating us 7-0 and they are still doing all the little things and going for the kill. Gill saved the Wings the first 2 games but he can only do so much and the Wings are just hanging him out to dry. It is sad to because a lot of you were bashing him all season long and then he stands on his head in the playoffs when the "team" forgets to show up and now you all think he is great. It just really gets to me to watch a lot of these players show no hustle no heart and just drift around out there taking up space. Watching guys like Darryl Bootland makes me sick the guy won't finish a check won't mess with anyone unless he jumps them or they are smaller than him. All we heard was how much he was going to be a key part to the team and he is a shell of his former self. I would take guys like Clarke and the other Darryl over half of this team. If Nick stays as coach he better keep this kid Harty at least he has heart and he better tell his brother to guy fly a kite, when is it going to sink in Nick you need size to go along with your skill and some heart as well.

I feel that if we had sova, ellington, and svendson that this series and games would be closer. Its disapointing to me the way. Peaple came and went this season.

Willis13, You are right on target. Yes I have said many times that Gill was not the goalie that he should be, and I still think that. I do agree that he has done an outstanding job in the post season. But where was that comitment during the rest of the season? And Clearmont, I would have stamped Return To Sender on his backside after the first game he played. The two biggest problems this team has is a total lack of commitment as well as consistancy. There is one other " C " on that list but I'm not going there now. There are players on this team that do a very good job on the ice most every shift.
Nathan 1771, This is the ECHL, That is the way it works. Players get a chance to move up for a while to show their stuff, then they come back. The good ones move up but don't come back till the end of season. I think that Las Vegas has the right idea, to stay unaffiliated. Then you have your team, every game all year. But you will have problems getting new players who want their shot in the AHL. Pick your poison.
