like I said before post your hockey resume. it is not my job too tell players what they're short comings are. I am not the coach of this team, anymore than you are. if you think the team is putting out a great product good for you.
I will still continue to question the product I am paying for! thanks

I think it is funny that you continue to make foolish comments.
I do not have a hockey resume, therefore I do not try to even suggest I have the slightest idea or even the knowledge to act as such.
I pay the doctor, but I would hope he has more smarts about medicine than me.

And I still want to see you ....tell the team and coach...face to face...that they are not dedicated to their job. Please....I want to see that.

Oh please! Who the heck has ever beaten Alaska except the odd game with some lucky bounces! ? They shouldn't even be in this league! Add to that they get a bye in the first round. I'd love to see us have at them again in a final series. Do I think we'd win? Probably not. Would I believe we could? Hell yes!! Would I love it if we did? Duh!! Would I rag on the team if we didn't? Um..... sorry, no. So far great job team and coach. Go Wings - sorry we couldn't make the radio show tonight :-)

I don't understand the claim that the K-Wings use the "dump and chase." They do not use the dump and chase anymore than any other team, Alaska included, as far as I can tell. I've also heard other teams players and coaches call them a "run and gun" team and I don't see that either. Throughout the S.C. series they walked in on the goalie at will and were getting mulitiple rebounds even during the game they lost, when Machesney stood on his head.

ok, I will break it down in simple terms for a simple person.the coach knows who I am, I have a difference of opinion with his player recruitment. small forwards that don't check. defensemen that won't check (wes o'neill is 6' 4 he does nothing ). the team is physically weak! sam ftorek is the most physical player they have. you challenge me to confront people, I challenge you with explaining intelligently what I am missing here?

LOL
And I am sure that our coach, or any for that matter, really care what a non-professional, never played or coached fan thinks.
Bootland has done a great job recruiting players, which is probably a little more difficult than you think. His efforts have kept Kalamazoo stable in all the issues of call ups, etc. Because that is HIS job. He knows what he wants in his team.

Anyway, once again, case closed.

GO Wings!

I agree that the Wings are not a big or physically aggressive team but I wouldn't call them weak. Along with Ftorek there's Harry Young, Justin Taylor, Dustin Cloutier, Archibald, Tolles, Reid, Charlebois, Bootland, Sirota... these guys all like to finish their checks. The Wings have been a skilled team as long as I've followed them (with the exception of the Brian Curran disaster) and they do pay a price against teams like Chicago and Alaska. They probably would benefit from bigger talented players but what team wouldn't. Size alone don't mean much. I know I'm not making any friends by saying this but I didn't care to watch Joel Rechlicz skate around aimlessly until he eventually thumped on somebody. He was a super nice kid and very athletic but, at that point at least, not a talented hockey player. Now when your big and skilled like we saw on South Carolina or Alaska that is definitely a plus (I think.)

That being said, I like this year's team. There talented and they're really starting to play as a team. Will they win the K.Cup? We'll see.

Go,Wings!

If you think Sam is the most physical player, you need to clean those glasses. His turnovers and unfinnished checks during the regular season are unexcusable for an Assistant Captain. He has picked it up during the playoffs, but he doesn't play with the same intensity all year. You are right about Wes, he needs to go.

William, I agree with you up to a point. But Joel wasn't on the team to score. Joel's role was to make sure that the idiots who 'accidently' slide into our goalie or cheapshot our skill players and skate away know that they are going to pay a price. The guys on the ice appreciate knowing that someone out there has their back and with some teams (Chicago) I think that is the only thing they respect/understand. To sit and watch a 200+ penalty minute game every night is not what we are talking about. (Although the occasional Goalie fight would be interesting!)
