Q) What does your team do after a missed
call on a goal? And how do you try and convince the
ref. it was only a penalty or goal, whatever the
instance you thought the wrong call was made on during
the action?
A) Well, first off, you can’t really argue calls once the reg.
has made his decision. The only thing you can do is put a bug in his
ear for the next time and hopefully he’s more attentive.

Q) Hi, I have two questions for you. One
is how do you like Kalamazoo? And who do you get
along with?
A) I think it’s beautiful. The fans and team have been very accommodating.
I get along with everyone. It’s such a good group of guys.

Q) What made you decide to come play for
the K-Wings?
A) The biggest convincer would be Mark Reeds. He spoke very positively
about Kalamazoo and the organization. Also, a championship season last
year helped.

Q) Who was your favorite Pittsburgh Penguin
player(s) when you were growing up?

Q) What team do you like playing for the
most…Otters, Mechanics or K-Wings?
A) Each place has been special to me in different ways. With the Otters,
we won an OHL championship, which is an amazing feat. Mechanics was
a great bunch of guys and some friendships that will never be lost.
Now with the K-Wings, another new group of guys and establishing new
friendships and bonds. Ultimately, winning another championship would
be the best.

Q) What did you think of the orange ice game?
And what do you think about the city of Kalamazoo?
A) Orange ice was unique. Definitely a new experience for me, but an
entertaining one. So far Kalamazoo has been nice!

Q) Which goalie in the NHL is the best of
all?
A) I would say Brodeur with the Devils. He’s been so good for
so long and continues to be unreal.

Q) Where did you start playing hockey and
at what age?
A) In my home town, Drayton, Ontario. I was very young, 2-3 years old.

Q) Who’s your favorite K-Wing to talk
with off the ice?
A) Well, I live with Snider, room on the road with Karlander and have
played with Bootland a couple of years ago in Cleveland. Willis is
easy to talk to as well.

Q) Scott, What do you think about your top
goalie, Askey? He was just pulled out of the net
Saturday [a few games ago] and the fans actually
cheered. I believe he has very good potential, but
was it just not his night? Also, your (the Wings)
timing seems to have been just off lately on scoring
goals…is that something that is going to be
worked on vigorously? Thanks, Tim
A) Tom is a spectacular goalie! He played at the highest level in the
world (NHL), everyone has off nights. As a goalie it’s noticed
more, especially on the scoreboard. As for timing, it take time. Practicing
generates chemistry and it transpires in games.

Q) Who is your favorite NHL football team
(I like Miami) and do you play fantasy football?

Q) Hey Scott, glad you are on the Wings this
year. Are you? Do you watch Family Guy on Adult Swim
on the Cartoon Network?
A) Thank you, I’m glad to be here. With our busy schedule we
rarely have time, so I haven’t seen much of Family Guy this season.

Jodi of Lawrence
Q) What is the one experience that you take
from all the different teams you’ve played
on?
A) You try to develop every year. You learn from the coaches and older
players, so the biggest thing is to grow on the new stuff every year.
FROM:
Allison of Kalamazoo
Q) Is there any pressure on you and all of
the others that came in this season new, being we
were Colonial Cup, Tarry Cup and Division Champions?
I know you will all make a repeat of what happened
last year! Thanks so much and welcome to the Wings!
-Allison
A) Thank you for the warm greetings! There is lots of expectations
with coming to a reigning champion team and the only thing you can
do is play your best.
FROM:
Kwingfan of Kalamazoo
Q) Do you think the team has what it takes
to repeat?
A) There are a lot of core guys back from last year with Bootland,
Karlander, Willis and Zinger. Also, with solid goaltending and a good
group of new guys I think it’s going to come together nicely.
FROM:
Matt of Saginaw
Q) I have a “heavy” shot…though
I can’t hit the broad side of a barn! What
can I do to help my accuracy?
A) You could set up targets and work hard to hit them. Work on accuracy
first and as that comes then increase the velocity of the shot.
FROM:
Devyn of Portage
Q) What is your favorite food?
A) Steak and potatoes! Nothing beats it.
FROM:
Stacey of Lawrence
Q) What is one fact about you that people
don’t normally know?
A) I’m a shy guy and some people might take it as being rude,
but I guess it’s just my nature.
FROM:
Dave of Flint
Q) Where did you start your professional
career and what brought you to Kalamazoo?
A) My first year I was in Cleveland with Bootland. This year just talking
with Mark Reeds and the opportunity in Kalamazoo seemed like a good
fit for me.
