The native of Brookfield, Wisconsin began his pro career last year with two games in the United Hockey League with the Chicago Hounds.

The 6-4, 228 pound forward plays a physical brand of hockey. Last season, Rechlicz had a combined 33 fighting majors for the Chicoutimi Sagueneens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Chicago Hounds. Kalamazoo received the rights to Rechlicz with its third round selection in last June’s IHL Dispersal Draft.
