| Daavettila
is returning to Kalamazoo for his first full season with
the K-Wings. The native of Howell, Michigan began his
tenure with the K-Wings last March earning nearly a point-a-night,
Daavettila racked up 18 points (9 goal, 9 assists) in
Kalamazoo's final 20 games of the season. Daavettila recorded
his first goal in his professional career on 03/06/09
versus the Flint Generals. Trent went on a multiple four-game
point streaks from 03/06/09-03/11/09 and 04/04/09-04/10/09.
Starting
his season in June, Daavettila participated in the New
York Rangers Prospect Development Camp at the Madison
Square Garden Training Center. The rookie forward was
one of 26 players that attended the week-long camp.
After
spending three years of junior hockey with the Portage
Lake Pioneers of the Great Lakes Hockey League, Daavettila
began his pro career with the Flint Generals. In three
seasons with the Pioneers, Daavettila recorded 99 points
(53 goals, 46 assists). |
