Markham
joined the K-Wings through a trade with Port Huron January
16th. A three-year pro, Markham started this season with
the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL. Markham joined the
Icehawks on December 14th and has played in 17 games
with Port Huron.
Besides
the Icehawks, Markham also spent two previous seasons
in Port Huron
with
the Flags (UHL). As a member
of the Flags, Markham was tied for the franchise’s
all-time lead in goals scored.
The native of Houghton, Michigan has already earned
the reputation of being a gritty forward that takes care
of his own zone first.
Before
turning pro, Markham stayed in-state and played four
years of collegiate
hockey
at Michigan Tech. Markham
also spent two seasons in Junior “A” hockey
with the Waterloo Blackhawks of the United States Hockey
League.
